In February 2022, Kathmandu witnessed a landmark event in the world of art and photography – a solo exhibition by Gautam Dhimal, showcasing the breathtaking visuals from the Himalayan Fashion Adventure. Held from February 18 to February 26, 2022, this nine-day exhibition attracted thousands of visitors, including locals, tourists, diplomats, celebrities, and media personalities, who poured in to experience the artistic brilliance and showered their love and appreciation.

A Unique Venue and Theme

For the first time ever, Location Nepal transformed its own premises into an immersive gallery space, recreating the ambiance of the Mustang Himalayan region, where the original photos were conceptualized and captured. The gallery walls were designed to mirror the textures of Himalayan Tibetan plateau houses and monasteries, offering visitors an unparalleled experience of stepping into the world of Mustang while viewing the exhibition.

Setting a New Benchmark in Nepal

The exhibited photographs, printed on archival Hahnemühle paper in life-sized formats, set a groundbreaking precedent for photographic exhibitions in Nepal. Each piece showcased the extraordinary details and vibrant essence of Mustang’s rugged beauty, pushing the boundaries of what photographic art can achieve in Nepal’s cultural and artistic landscape.
